The DxO One wants to be a DSLR camera for your iPhone

The DxO One wants to be a DSLR camera for your iPhone

DxO has introduced the One, a 20.2-megapixel camera that connects directly to your iPhone.

DxO, the company behind a number of desktop photography apps, has introduced their first piece of hardware, the DxO One. The One is a camera that hopes to enhance your mobile photography, and attaches directly to your iPhone with its built-in Lightning connector. The companion app for the One turns your phone into a viewfinder, and gives you immediate access to photos taken with the camera.

The DxO One utilizes a 1-inch, 20.2-megapixel sensor, and a six-element lens with a maximum aperture of ƒ/1.8, and a minimum of ƒ/11. It will shoot in .JPEG, .DNG, and the company's own .DxO format for photos. It will also capture 1080p/30fps video in the .MOV format. The One has an ISO range from 100 to 51200, and a shutter speed range of 1/8000 to 15s.

You can find out more about the DxO One on the company's website. The One will ship this September, but can be pre-ordered now for $599.
