Apple updates TestFlight with support for Apple Watch apps

Apple updates TestFlight with support for Apple Watch apps

Apple has released an update to its TestFlight beta-testing apps, adding support for apps made with Apple's WatchKit.

WatchKit is used by developers to test apps made for the Apple Watch. Until now, watch apps could not be tested using TestFlight. Here are the changes in TestFlight 1.1.1:

This update includes support for Apple WatchKit apps as well as minor stability and performance improvements.

While WatchKit debuted in November 2014, most developers haven't been able to test their apps on actual Apple Watch hardware yet, and they haven't been able to test the apps with their beta groups due to that same lack of access. That will start to change tomorrow, April 24, when people begin receiving their Apple Watch orders.

You can grab the latest version of TestFlight from the App Store now.
