How to re-order clock faces on your Apple Watch

How to re-order clock faces on your Apple Watch

If you use certain clock faces frequently, it can be convenient to have them arranged next to each other for easy switching.

The Apple Watch currently doesn't provide a way to re-order clock faces, either on the Watch itself or via the Apple Watch for iPhone app. At least not directly. You can, however, add new versions of the faces, and they'll stay in the order you add them (from left to right). It's a little complicated, but it can also make switching to your most frequently used clock faces much more convenient.

How organize the clock faces on your Apple Watch

It's important to know which clock faces you want and where you want them before you start. Make a list if it helps. You'll also need to know how to add extra clock faces to your Apple Watch, so make sure you familiarize yourself with those steps first.

In this example, we're going to re-arrange our clock faces so that Modular, Utility, and Mickey Mouse are ordered together, and in that order.

  1. Add the first clock face, the one you want to be on the left. (In our example, Modular.)
  2. Add the additional watch faces, continuing in order from left to right. (In our example, Utility second, Mickey Mouse third.)

Once you've added the clock faces you want, in the order you want, you can either keep the originals as variations or delete them to keep your setup simple.

If you want all the clock faces on your Apple Watch organized is a very specific way, you can add them all in exactly that way, and optionally delete all of the originals. It's a pain, but it's possible!
