After a Japan-only announcement, Sony's keeping quiet on the possibility of a global launch for the Z4.
Sony this morning made the Xperia Z4 official, in what was its lowest-profile announcement for a flagship-level product in years. It's a somewhat confusing half-upgrade from last year's Xperia Z3 that sees Sony slimming down its high-end offering, cutting back on battery capacity, while packing in a more powerful Snapdragon 810 CPU. Much of the rest of the hardware, including the 20.7-megapixel rear camera, appears almost identical to the Z3.
Even more confusing are Sony's rollout plans for the Z4.
