iOS 7 beta builds have now expired, here's how to get around those activation errors!

If you're a developer that for whatever reason didn't update to the GM (Gold Master) or public release builds of iOS 7, then starting today you'll need to do something about it. As first reported by Kat Hannaford at Gizmodo, devices still running beta 6 are being met with activation errors as the build has now apparently expired:

Around midnight UK time, my iPhone 5, along with thousands of other iOS 7-running devices which hadn’t updated from their dev betas, randomly crashed. An error message of “could not activate iPhone” appeared, and prompted users to sign in with their iCloud details. Unfortunately this did not solve the issue, with Apple’s activation server being “temporarily unavailable.”

If this has happened to you, all is not lost. As long as you're running iTunes 11.1 on your Mac or Windows PC, you can manually restore your device to iOS 7.0.2 by grabbing the full download of the firmware. Thankfully, iMore has you covered so follow the links below to download a copy of iOS 7.0.2 for the device of your choice.
