Our favorite headphones for iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Mac

We often get asked what we're using, be it devices, apps, or accessories. Ever since Apple bought Beats, we've increasingly been asked what headphones we're using. Given that there are a number of secret headset shortcuts for controlling the iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Mac as well, that should come as no surprise.

So, we rounded up the staff here at iMore and enlisted several of our friends from Mobile Nations and put together this list of our headphone favorites!

Bose QC20i

Pretty much everyone agrees that, if you're a frequent flier, the Bose QuietComfort 20i Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones are an absolute must have. They're comfortable and the active noise cancelation functionality is amazing. (These are also The Wirecutter's picks.)

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6

Derek Kessler's quest for relatively affordable high-quality headphones came to an end with the Bang & Olufsen H6. From the lows to the highs and everything in between, the H6's are clean, crisp, and incredibly balanced. Plus they look great too. (These are also Marco Arment pick.)

Panasonic RP-HGS10

Peter Cohen wants to hear what's happening around him and the Panasonic RP-HGS10 allows just that by conducting sound through your ear bones instead of blasting directly into your ear. Sounds strange but it works great!

Master & Dynamics MH40

Kevin Michaluk, of course, says that if you want a set of headphones that offer quality sound and look absolutely amazing in your Instagram selfies, look no further that the Master & Dynamics MH40.

Mpow Swift Sport

Serenity Caldwell loves the Mpow Swift Sport Bluetooth 4.0 wireless headphones for exercising. (So you know they're roller derby proof!)

Powerbeats 2

Rene Ritchie received a pair of these as a Christmas gift and has been using them while excising. He mostly listens to podcasts, and the battery lasts a good long time and the sound is crisp and clear.

Logitech Ultimate Ears 600vi

Rene Ritchie uses the Logitech Ultimate Ears 600vi for one simple reason — they have a clip on the cord and that means they're less likely to get pulled out of your ears by simple gravity, either while podcasting or while traveling.

Beats Studio
