Apple and Barclaycard team up for new Apple Store rewards card

Apple and Barclaycard team up for new Apple Store rewards card

Apple and Barclaycard have teamed up again to launch a new Apple Store Rewards card (just in time for your holiday shopping). The new reward system allows one to earn points towards Apple Store gift cards, replacing the old card's iTunes reward system. As a bonus, the card is secured by Chip & Pin technology, and should also be compatible with Apple Pay.

As far as point allocations are concerned, the card rewards three points per dollar spent on the Apple Store, two at restaurants, and one for all other purchases. When you've racked up 2,500 points, you can then exchange them for a $25 gift card to the Apple Store.

Just like the previous iteration of the Apple rewards card, you can secure special financing on purchases from Apple within the first 30 days.
